In these caves, there are mammals and birds of prey, like kites and buzzards, which are the true custodians of this paradise, where the time seems to have stopped. The trekking itinerary, following the path 2 and 3, twists and turns along the eastern margin of the gorge for 12 kilometres until to Lamia Forniello. One can admire the coloured blossoming that remind us the spring at the door. In the first morning and in the afternoon we are discovering the traditions that make famous this town over the world.

We will discover the secrets of bread of Laterza, visiting an ancient bakery that makes it based on an ancient recipe; moreover, we are visiting the old town and a workshop where one makes the famous white majolica, decorated according to the traditions of ceramists of Laterza.
