On the coast, among inlets of white sand, there is Monopoli. The old town, that has medieval origins, rises up on an ancient Messapian town, of which we have several testimonies. Surrounded by walls, this city is built by white houses of lime among lots churches that represent the peak of Baroque.  During the afternoon, we are going to admire the cliff characterized by caves of Polignano, beautiful town and Domenico Modugno’s homeland. From the ancient “via Traiana” we are visiting several alleys rich of history, flowers and poetry, which bring to the terraces on seaside of breath-taking view. Santa Maria church, set in the square Vittorio Emanuele, has an architectonical importance.
